Interior Ministry's Web site posts information about search for businessman Kurchenko

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine on its Web site has posted data about businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, who was declared wanted in late March.

The information about Kurchenko is posted in the section "Persons hiding from the authorities" in the category "Persons hiding from the prosecutor's office."

The search card notes that Kurchenko is wanted on suspicion of having committed an offense under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misappropriation, embezzlement of property on a large scale or by an organized group). In addition, it is mentioned that there is a court order to detain the suspect.

As reported, on March 20 it became known that the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office suspects Kurchenko of embezzlement of funds of Ukrgazvydobutok and declared him wanted. Criminal proceedings under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine were opened.
