Firtash says is victim of "conflict of geopolitical centers" in Ukraine

Ukrainian businessman Dmitriy Firtash has called the accusations made against him by the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday absurd and groundless.

"All these things, including the U.S. request for extradition, are obviously politically motivated. I respect the Austrian justice system and I will defend myself using all lawful methods and I will prove my innocence," Firtash said in a statement posted on his official website on Thursday.
