Right Sector leader Yarosh to run for presidency as self-nominated candidate
Dmytro Yarosh, the leader of the Right Sector party, has filed a full package of documents for registration as a presidential candidate to the Central Elections Commission (CEC).
At the CEC press service Interfax-Ukraine was told Yarosh will be running as a self-nominated candidate.
Earlier reports said that the Right Sector party was established on the basis of the Ukrainian National Assembly (UNA) at a closed congress on March 24. Media reports said Yarosh was nominated presidential candidate at the congress.
However, it became clear on Sunday that he decided to join the election race as a self-nominated candidate.
