Cabinet decides to unite Industrial Policy Ministry and Economy Ministry
The Industrial Policy Ministry will merge with the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said in the parliament.
"I inform you that a cabinet resolution has been signed and published: the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Industrial Policy Ministry merge into one ministry," he said.
He said that the merger will allow increasing management efficiency and cutting expenses.
As reported, President Viktor Yanukovych in December 2010 reorganized the Industrial Policy Ministry into the state agency for management state corporate rights and property, and in late 2012 he decided to restore the ministry. The current cabinet does not have industrial policy minister appointed.
