Klitschko: Election of new parliament speaker could be considered if government's actions remain ineffective

UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko has said that if the government's actions continue to be ineffective, the question of the election of a new Verkhovna Rada chairman could be considered.

"The first conclusions on personnel can be drawn from last month's results," he said in parliament on Tuesday.

He also noted that it was necessary to start consultations on the appointment of a new acting defense minister and said that this should be a professional with experience in extreme situations.

"We understand that [government] actions are also ineffective. And today, if this continues, we can raise the question of the election of a new Verkhovna Rada chairman," Klitschko added.
