Ukraine to challenge Russia's actions in Crimea in international courts – Ukraine's FM
Ukraine has said it will appeal to the international courts to dispute the illegal actions of Russia in Crimea.
"In order to protect rights and interests of Ukraine, its citizens, in light of Russia's demonstration of aggression and occupation of the Crimea territory, Ukraine will take a number of measures of the international-legal character - in particular will appeal to international court institutions," Ukraine's Foreign Ministry's spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said.
He said that the further actions on the international arena would be meant to achieve the restoration of status quo, and for this purpose all possible political and diplomatic measures will be taken.
The spokesman noted the official position of Kyiv, according to which Ukraine would never recognize the decision by Russia's leadership to annex Crimea.
