Ukraine, UN discuss creation of international UN-led commission on situation in Crimea
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov have discussed the creation of an international commission under the chairmanship of the UN to address the situation in Crimea.
"After discussing the issue of aggression in Crimea, we also adopted a joint position regarding the creation of an international UN-led commission involving representatives of the countries that signed the Budapest Memorandum," Turchynov said at a joint briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
