Tymoshenko remains presidential candidate – Batkivschyna

Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the party Batkivschyna, intends to share responsibility with her comrades for the events taking place in Ukraine, parliamentarian Oleksandra Kuzhel said following a meeting between the Batkivschyna faction and Tymoshenko.

"She said that, if someone is hoping that I [Tymoshenko] will disassociate myself from Turchynov and Yatseniuk and they bear responsibility for everything, it's not going to happen. I assume the same full responsibility. For this reason, we should resolve the issues that concern society from day one," Kuzhel quoted Tymoshenko as saying during a meeting with members of the Batkivschyna faction in the parliament.

Kuzhel also said Batkivschyna still nominates Tymoshenko as a presidential candidate.

"We had no intention of discussing the presidential elections because, as you remember, we have nominated Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] as a presidential candidate," she said.
