Turchynov: I want to warn Putin – Russian political leadership to answer for crimes in Ukraine before world
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and acting head of state Oleksandr Turchynov has warned Russian President Vladimir Putin that he will bear responsibility for crimes committed on Ukrainian territory.
"I want to warn Putin that Russia's political leadership will be held responsible for all the crimes committed on Ukrainian soil," Turchynov said during the joint statement with PM Arseniy Yatseniuk on Tuesday.
"It is a dangerous political game. This provocation isn't only against Ukraine but it is also an attempt to destabilize the situation in the region, Europe and the whole world," the acting head of state said.
