Ukraine urges international community to take measures against Russian aggression – Ukraine's Foreign Ministry

Ukraine has urged the international community to take effective measures against Russian aggression, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has said.

"We're appealing to all responsible states and international organizations, insisting that they take effective measures against [Russian] aggression," Ukraine's Foreign Ministry information policy department Yevhen Perebyinis said.

According to him, Ukraine "unfortunately became the first victim of Russia's attempts to revise state borders using force."

The Ukrainian party, in turn, said that Russia will not stop this because its aim is "to restore Russian imperialism," Perebyinis added.

He said that a speech of Russian president proved "the existence of a real threat to the whole world", as well as showing "the real face" of the Russian leadership.

"What shocked the whole world was the real revival of Russian imperialism, for which nothing is sacred: neither international recognition of the borders of sovereign countries, nor rights or freedoms of the citizens, nor international obligations," Perebyinis said.
