Ukraine paid $80 mln for gas delivered in February - Energy Minister Prodan
Ukraine has already paid $80 million out of the $440 million it owes for the natural gas from Russia it received in February 2014, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan told journalists on Wednesday ahead of a government meeting.
"We are paying for gas. We already paid $80 million for February. A total of $440 million must be paid. We are gathering the money together and are paying. As for the steps Gazprom is taking to shut off gas, according to operational information, no such steps are being taken," Prodan said.
