Kyiv unrest death toll reaches 100 - Ukraine Health Ministry
A total of 100 people have died as a result of clashes in the center of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, since November 30, 2013, the Health Ministry said on its Web site on Thursday.
"One person died at Kyiv's City Hospital No. 12 on March 5. He was admitted there for treatment on February 28," the ministry said.
As many as 1,075 people injured during the riots have sought medical care since February 18, it said. Of them, 698 were hospitalized. A total of 216 people remained at hospitals on Thursday morning.
Thirty-six people have requested medical care in the past 24 hours, the ministry said. Of them, 22 were admitted to hospitals.
Reports issued on March 5 put the death toll from the unrest in Kyiv at 99.
