Shoigu orders Russian forces engaged in surprise drills to return to permanent bases by March 7
Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu has ordered all of the forces involved in recent surprise military exercises in the country's Western and Central Military Districts to return to their permanent bases before March 7.
"I demand that this task be tackled in an orderly fashion, avoiding any violations of safety requirements and without bringing any weapons and military hardware out of operation," the minister said during a conference call on Tuesday.
