Kyiv not going to sue Russian people, Russian leadership is another matter, says acting foreign minister

Ukraine is not willing to fight with or sue the Russian people in the view of the recent events in Crimea.

"We do not want to fight with the Russian people, nor to sue the Russian people," Acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia said at a briefing on Monday when asked if Kyiv is considering an appeal to the International Court in connection with the events in Crimea.

When asked whether his answer applied to the Russian leadership, Deschytsia said: "The Russian leadership is a different story."
