Yanukovych says "patriotic officers" got him to Russia

Viktor Yanukovych on Friday credited "patriotic officers" with enabling him to escape to Russia but didn't elaborate.

"It was thanks to patriotic officers that I was able to get to Russia. Let me put it this way: officers who did their duty and helped me stay alive," Yanukovych told a news conference in Rostov-on-Don.
