Yatseniuk, Poroshenko aspire for premiership - UDAR
Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk may be nominated for Ukraine's prime minister, UDAR faction deputy leader Vitaliy Kovalchuk said.
"The candidacy of Arseniy Yatseniuk is under consideration," Kovalchuk told reporters on Tuesday after a joint session of the Maidan council and political parties.
Kovalchuk noted that Yatseniuk did not withdraw his candidacy.
Parliament deputy Petro Poroshenko may also aspire for premiership, but he "has not expressed his attitude toward this [possibility]," Kovalchuk said.
Stabilization and restoration of order in Ukraine will be the main test for the new government, the UDAR faction deputy head noted.
In his words, the sides to the meeting also discussed the restoration of the credibility of the entire Ukrainian political elite.
