Ukrainian parliament appoints Nalyvaichenko as security service chief
The Ukrainian parliament has appointed member of the UDAR party Valentyn Nalyvaichenko as chief of the Ukrainian Security Service.
The decision to appoint Nalyvaichenko got support from 333 MPs, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported from the session hall.
Several minutes before the appointment the parliament dismissed Oleksandr Yakymenko from the position. The decision got the backing from 346 lawmakers.
