EU Council decides on sanctions against Ukrainian officials – Ashton
The EU Foreign Affairs Council decided at a meeting on Thursday in Brussels to introduce sanctions against Ukraine, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said.
The list of sanctions includes visa restrictions for Ukrainian officials and freezing of their financial assets, she said.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council also supported the proposal to stop exporting to Ukraine military and special equipment that can be used for repressive goals.
