Two traffic police officers in Kyiv shot to death, one wounded
Ukraine's Interior Ministry has reported the murder of two traffic police officers in Kyiv in the early hours of Wednesday.
"Two traffic police officers have been killed in Kyiv. One more officer has been wounded in an armed attack," the ministry said in a statement on its Web site in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police are currently probing into the circumstances of the attack, which took place in Kyiv's Sviatoshynsky district.
"According to preliminary information, a traffic police patrol was following a car with an offender. Gunshots were fired from it," the statement said.
Two traffic police officers were shot to death at the site of the incident, while the third officer was rushed to hospital. His condition is grave.
