Yatseniuk: Draft resolution on return to Constitution of 2004 wasn't registered in parliament
Leader of Batkivschyna faction Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that a draft resolution on return to the Constitution of 2004 wasn't registered in the Verkhovna Rada, but the Ukrainian parliament still has a chance to save the situation and get out of the present crisis if President Viktor Yanukovych agrees.
"There is still a chance to resolve the crisis, if the president orders his faction to return to the parliamentary building, register the resolution and consider it," he told the journalists on Tuesday.
According to the faction's leader, opposition from the very beginning offered a way-out of the crisis, however, "neither the president, nor the Regions Party members want to compromise, or implement the law."
As a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine reported, it is mainly MPs from the opposition factions who are at the parliament's premises now. The leaders of these factions Arseniy Yatseniuk, Vitali Klitschko and Oleh Tiahnybok have left the parliament to find out what is going on outside the building.
