Free economic zones could be restored in Ukraine, says economy ministry
The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine has said that free economic zones could be restored in Ukraine, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Anatoliy Maksiuta, has said.
"I think that we should return to free economic zones, but not to those that existed earlier and showed the negative result. This concerns exports zones of the industrial type – an insolated territory, to which goods are exported and imported without customs clearance in Ukraine," he said.
Maksiuta said that such zones could operate in Zakarpattia region and in the south of the country.
