Yanukovych, Fule discuss ways to resolve political crisis in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule have discussed the settlement of the political crisis in Ukraine through a inclusive dialogue involving the government, opposition and the public.
The two officials also spoke about the need to abstain from violent and extremist activities, and to respect human rights in Ukraine, Yanukovych's press service reported on Wednesday.
"The head of state noted the active role of the European Union and the Council of Europe in seeking democratic solutions to the crisis in Ukraine," the report reads.
Yanukovych and Fule also agreed on the need for objective and impartial assessment of the internal political processes in Ukraine, the press service said.
