Fule leaves for Kyiv to help find political solution to crisis
European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule is leaving on a two-day working visit to Kyiv on Tuesday to help Ukraine find a way out of its political crisis.
European Commissioner spokesperson Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, while announcing the commissioner's visit, said in Brussels on Tuesday that through this visit the EU was confirming its commitment to help Ukraine find a way out of the current crisis.
In addition, she noted that the respective conclusions on Ukraine had been adopted following a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Monday, in which the EU expressed its position on events in Ukraine and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, signaling that "the Association Agreement is not the final goal in Ukraine-EU cooperation."
