Ukrainian parliament adopts session schedule and agenda
The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the schedule of the fourth session of parliament of the seventh convocation.
A total of 235 lawmakers, including 185 from the Party of Regions, 32 from the Communist Party and 18 independent deputies, voted for a respective resolution at a parliament meeting on Thursday.
According to the approved schedule, the fourth session will include 11 plenary weeks and seven weeks of work in committees, commissions and factions. The session is considered open on February 4 and will last until July 18, 2014.
The parliament also approved the agenda of the fourth session of the Verkhovna Rada with amendments. A total of 237 deputies backed this decision. The opposition did not participate in the vote.
