Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Lytvyn has said that the Verkhovna Rada should find a solution to the questions posed by society, but noted that there are no legal mechanisms to resolve these problems.
"There are no legal mechanisms to resolve the problem posed by society," he said at a morning plenary meeting of parliament in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He also stressed the need "to have a mechanism of public control over the actions of the authorities" and in this connection it is necessary to resolve the question of returning to the 2004 constitution.
Lytvyn said that to do so it was necessary to adopt this constitutional act on the return to the 2004 constitution or pass amendments to the law so as "to oblige the Constitutional Court to reverse its ruling."
He also said that it was unacceptable to raise the issue of Ukraine's federalization.
Lytvyn heads the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security and defense.
