Parliament puts amnesty bill on agenda, to return to work at 1600
The Verkhovna Rada has included an amnesty bill on the agenda of its extraordinary meeting.
A total of 396 deputies out of the 413 registered in the session hall voted for such a decision on Tuesday.
While speaking in parliament, Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk said that the opposition was currently preparing a bill on the creation of an ad hoc commission to work on the introduction of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine and would propose that MPs vote for the creation of such a commission at the evening meeting of parliament.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak adjourned the meeting until 1600.
