Yanukovych, opposition leaders agree on repeal of Jan 16 laws – Lukash
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, the anti-crisis working group and leaders of the opposition-minded parliamentary factions have decided on the repeal of the laws adopted on January 16, 2014, that caused multiple discussions, member of the group and Justice Minister Olena Lukash said.
"Provisions of the laws that will be invalidated tomorrow [January 28] will be jointly elaborated by the parties and will meet the European standards," Lukash said in a statement after a new round of talks between the Ukrainian authorities and the opposition on Monday evening.
The statement is available on the president's official Web site.
"Still, the laws that do not cause the remarks tomorrow will be passed by the parliament again," the statement reads.
