Ukrainian govt resignation, laws passed on January 16 should be discussed in parliament, not on Maidan, says Rada speaker
Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak said the consequences of the January 16 adoption of the laws that drew criticism from the opposition and the issue of the government's resignation should be discussed in the parliament.
"There are many issues that need to be resolved, but they should be resolved in the session hall, not on Maidan. Indeed, the opposition and the majority should come together and discuss the issues that are arising: the government resignation and issues related to the laws that the parliament passed [on January 16," Rybak said during a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Thursday.
