Two dead bodies with the signs of torture and taped mouths have been found near the village of Hnidyn (Boryspil district, Kyiv region), where earlier Euromaidan opposition group activist Ihor Lutsenko was taken, ZN.UA reported on Wednesday.
According to the publication, district police officer Oleksandr Zdorom confirmed the finding of just one dead body, adding that it did indeed show signs of torture. The dead body has been sent to the morgue, the officer said.
As reported, some media quoted Facebook users that in the early hours of Tuesday, January 21, unknown people seized Euromaidan activist Ihor Lutsenko near a hospital and left with him in an unknown direction.
On Tuesday evening MPs joined search of the activist. Kyiv police opened a criminal case under the Article 146 of the Criminal Code (kidnapping). Later Lutsenko reported on Facebook that he had been kidnapped from the hospital, but now he was free and safe.
