Additional measures sanctioned in Ukraine to safeguard people's security
The Ukrainian government has permitted the Interior Ministry to block certain streets and territories to traffic and temporarily restrict people's access to certain areas and facilities in the presence of information on possible violations of public order, in line with directive No. 12 the government endorsed and posted on its website on Wednesday.
The directive stipulates that the measures are not applicable to employees of institutions, enterprises, and organizations located in these areas and special-purpose vehicles.
The abovementioned measures can be imposed or lifted at a decision by a relevant district police chief.
