Following disturbances in Kyiv 80 law enforcement officers hospitalized - Ukrainian Interior Ministry
Almost 120 employees of the interior ministry agencies have sought medical care following the resistance at Hrushevsky Street in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry press office said on Tuesday.
Eighty of them have been admitted to hospitals and diagnosed with head injuries, fractures, burns, lacerations and poisoning with unidentified substances.
The press office did not specify whether it concerned the policemen injured during the past night and a total number for January 19-21. It has been reported that 49 law enforcement employees had been hospitalized.
The resistance between law enforcement authorities and protesters continued in central Kyiv near the Dynamo stadium overnight into Tuesday. The situation escalated at about 0200.
