Protestors are building a catapult in central Kyiv to throw stones and incendiary bottles at police.
About ten demonstrators are using wooden bars to build a 2-meter-high catapult, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
The size of the crowd remains unchanged on Hrushevskoho Street in Kyiv, and many of the protesters have donned medical masks. Food and hot drinks keep arriving from Independence Square.
The standoff continues between the conflicting camps, with protestors throwing stones, incendiary bottles and pieces of burning cloth at policemen, and policemen using tear gas and stun grenades against the demonstrators.
Barricades are being strengthened on Hrushevskoho Street.
Ten catapults are expected to have been built before darkness falls, earlier reports said.
