Radio Liberty reports detention of its journalists in Kyiv
The police have detained a group of Radio Liberty journalists, the wife of one of the journalists said, citing a text message from her husband.
The journalists went to Hrushevskoho Street to film the events taking place there after 0800 on Monday, Radio Liberty reported. During a pause in the clashes between the protesters and the police, which lasted several minutes, they approached the police cordon and then the broadcast stopped.
Radio Liberty is trying to learn about the reasons for the detention and their current location.
The events taking place on Hrushevskoho Street were broadcast live on the Radio Liberty Web site.
