Police detain over 20 people due to clashes in central Kyiv – Interior Ministry
Police have detained over 20 people due to the events that have occurred in the center of Kyiv over the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has reported.
"The police detained more than 20 people, and they were taken to the district department. They are being identified, and a degree of their participation in the events is being established," the ministry's press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday morning.
The ministry said that nine people had been detained as part of the investigation into criminal proceedings on riots. Administrative reports were drafted with respect to other detainees, and they were released. Those detained included representatives of various political parties.
