Over 70 police officers injured, about 49 taken to hospital – Interior Ministry's update
Over 70 police officers have been injured during clashes between police and protesters on Yevropeiska Square downtown Kyiv on Sunday.
"About 49 policemen have been taken to hospital," the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's media liaison office reported on Sunday evening.
They were diagnosed closed craniocerebral injuries, various fractures, bruises and poisoning with unknown substances.
