MP Yefremov views possible U.S. sanctions against Ukrainian officials as interference in internal affairs
Leader of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov views the possible introduction of sanctions against a number of Ukrainian officials by the U.S. as the interference in the domestic affairs of Ukraine.
"I generally disapprove when one state interferes in the internal affairs of another state," Yefremov said when asked to comment on the possible decision by the U.S. to apply sanctions against a number of Ukrainian officials.
"If you think that a decision by the authority of one state against the people of another state is nonintervention... I do not think so," the leader of the Party of Regions faction said.
As reported, the U.S. Senate passed a resolution calling on the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from using force against peaceful protesters and pointed to the possible consideration of sanctions in the event of further violence.
