Yanukovych: We'll modernize our country in all selected directions
The process of modernization will continue in Ukraine next year, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said at a meeting with the candidates for the positions of district state administration head.
"We have been following this path and we will keep doing so. We will modernize our country in all of the directions we've chosen," the president's press service quoted him as saying on Tuesday.
The president said that reform implementation depends on funding.
"The more funds we have, the faster we can implement reforms," the president said.
Yanukovych said that it was planned to build five perinatal centers and proceed with reforming of the emergency medical aid system in H1, 2014.
The president also said that special attention would be paid to the construction of local roads in 2014. He said that more funds would be allocated to this next year.
The head of state also noted that it was planned to increase the funding of regional development in 2014.
