Yanukovych ready for personnel changes in authorities in order to relieve tension

Personnel changes in the Ukrainian executive authorities are possible if this contributes to decreasing political tension in the country, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said.

"I do not support speaking bluntly. We should care about personnel, we should treat people carefully but if the necessity exists - someone is not working full force or working inefficiently or his work is bringing some negative to society - of course, they should be replaced. We will make such conclusions," Yanukovych told reporters on Thursday.

Personnel decisions should be thought-through and fair, the president said.
