PACE monitoring mission to arrive in Ukraine on Thursday
The monitoring mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Ukraine on December 19-20, the press service of the international organization reported on Wednesday.
PACE co-rapporteurs Mailis Reps and Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin are to visit the country on December 19-20 to familiarize themselves with current developments.
It is expected that during their visit they will meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak, Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara, and Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko.
The co-rapporteurs also intend to meet with representatives of the Party of Regions, as well as opposition parties represented in parliament: Batkivschyna, UDAR and Svoboda.
