The parliamentary opposition has demanded that the next week in parliament be made plenary in order to consider the draft state budget for 2014, Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We are demanding that the next week be declared a plenary week," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, adding that next week it will be necessary to consider the draft budget for 2014.
Yatseniuk said that the opposition had also demanded that MPs, under the law, be given a draft law on the state budget for 2014. He said that the draft state budget should be considered in the session hall no earlier than four days after the bill is given to lawmakers.
He also noted that under the law, the conclusions of the Accounting Chamber should also be presented in the session hall.
