Yanukovych offers moratorium on use of force until Rada considers possible risks of association deal with EU
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has suggested introducing a moratorium on any use of force until the Verkhovna Rada analyzes all the risks of the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU in its current form.
Speaking at a national round table on Friday, Yanukovych said he would submit a proposal to parliament to consider these risks and to ban any use of force until their consideration.
He said that any reports that plans to disperse the anti-government protests are allegedly being prepared were provocations.
