No grounds to impose sanctions against Ukrainian officials - Ukrainian foreign minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has said he believes that there are currently no grounds for the introduction by the international community of sanctions against some Ukrainian officials.
"I, as minister of foreign affairs, currently don't see such grounds," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Kozhara said that officials in the EU and the U.S. were not currently raising the issue of sanctions.
"Moreover, very solid grounds are needed to impose sanctions, in particular, the violation of fundamental human rights and freedoms, or the violation of the foundations of international law," he said.
