Azarov hopes Ukrainian parliament will work next week
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said he hopes that the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada will be unblocked and that the parliament will manage to begin its work during the next plenary week.
"I hope that they will finally stop blocking our highest legislative body and that we will return to normal work, because the best protection of people is participation in the legislative work," he said, while opening a meeting of the organizing committee on the preparation and participation of Ukrainian athletes in the Youth Olympic, Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games in Koncha Zaspa (Kyiv) on Thursday.
As reported, deputies from opposition factions blocked the Verkhovna Rada's rostrum after failing to dismiss the Azarov-led government.
