Important that Soviet relics in Ukrainians' mind disappear with toppled Lenin statue – Lithuanian Foreign Minister
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius says he hopes that Soviet relics in people's minds in Ukraine will disappear together with the Lenin statue toppled in Kyiv on Sunday evening.
"[It's] important that together w[ith] the Lenin statue in Kyiv off go all Soviet relics in people's minds in Ukraine. As in Vilnius once…," Linkevicius wrote on his Twitter page when commenting on the events in Kyiv on Sunday.
Lithuania holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union July 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
