Tymoshenko advises opposition against negotiating with government
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko who is now serving a seven-year prison term has urged participants in the Euromaidan protest rally on Kyiv's Independence Square not to hold talks with the government.
"Don't give up, don't take a step back, don't sit down to the negotiating table with the authorities," says her message read out from the stage on Kyiv's Independence Square by her daughter, Yevhenia.
Tymoshenko said that the future presidential election would be rigged the same as the past parliamentary.
"It is our objective to immediately remove [Viktor] Yanukovych from the post of the president of Ukraine," Tymoshenko noted.
She is convinced that Yanukovych would never sign the Association Agreement with the EU.
In her opinion, a new system of power should be formed in Ukraine.
