Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has postponed a visit to Malta to concentrate on the domestic political issues, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has reported.
"The president decided to postpone a visit to Malta scheduled for the next week because of the necessity to concentrate on the settlement of national political issues," director of the information policy department of the Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Yevhen Perebyinis reported at the briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
He stressed that the visit hadn't been cancelled, just postponed.
"We hope that we will soon meet with the Maltese side to agree a new date for this visit," the spokesman added.
