Yanukovych visits AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych familiarized himself with operations of a leading aircraft builder of China, the AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation, the presidential press service said.

He also visited the corporation museum and a workshop making aircraft components.

The Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation (AVIC Aircraft XAC) is a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). AVIC Aircraft XAC builds and services the Yun Y8 transport aircraft, Yun Y7, Y7H-500, MA 600, ARG 21 and other passenger aircraft and FBC 1 (MiG-21) warplanes.

The company is working on the largest transport aircraft, Yun Y20, which is already being tested. Ukraine's Antonov State Enterprise is involved in the project.
