Demonstrators leave government district in central Kyiv
Demonstrators have left the square near the building of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, and there is peace on Bankova Street leading to the presidential administration headquarters.
The police cordons are being removed, and traffic has been restarted along central streets, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
A small group of protestors, peacefully talking with each other, can be seen on Bankova Street. A metal fence, put up by demonstrators to prevent provocation, remains on Instytutska Street. A line of Berkut riot policemen is near the presidential administration building.
The situation is also quiet in front of the government headquarters, where only several dozen people remain now. The central entrance is being guarded by policemen.
