Protesters in Kyiv break through metal shields around Christmas tree on Independence Square, police flee away
Participants in the so-called popular assembly in Kyiv arriving to Independence Square have wiped away the metal shields surrounding a big Christmas tree under construction.
After that part of the police officers standing behind to metal shields fled.
Protesters are occupying the part of the square near the stele.
The equipment of municipal services still remains on the square. However, municipal workers also drove away from the scene.
