Decision on non-signing Association Agreement with EU was forced – Azarov
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the decision to take a pause in the preparations for signing the Association Agreement with the EU in Vilnius was a forced measure.
"I'm saying once again that it was a forced decision, we had no other solution and time will show that we were right," he wrote on his page on Facebook on Friday.
The premier also said that although many rallies in support of the European integration course were held in Kyiv and other cities, many other people supported the government's decision.
"If you look at the recent sociologic data, the opinions are divided almost equally. And this should be taken into account while the media exaggerate that 100% of the people protest against the government's decision," Azarov said.
